With extensive experience in the full SDLC, I have taken ideas from concept to product launch, as a developer or manager, and often as both. Knowledge of development on multiple platforms, OO design sensibility, and an emphasis on user interface concerns, I believe in bridging the gap between the technical developer and the task-oriented user of the applications. Having worked on products in telecommunications, oil and gas, consumer electronics, and areas in between, my broad extensive knowledge base can help you get your products out.
MOBILE & CONSUMER
Releasing applications, libraries, and SDKs for iOS, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Windows, Wind River, and proprietary mobile OSes, I have a broad and desirable background for delivering software in the mobile, consumer, and corporate/industrial spaces. I have guided the teams that built and supported software solutions on some of the world's largest mobile suppliers such as Nokia, LG, Samsung, HTC, Apple, and Motorola. I am also experienced in building proprietary, high-performance language data libraries that were critical to a predictive text solution suite.
MANAGEMENT
More than just allocating resources, my approach to management involves understanding and meeting the company objectives while meeting the individual needs of my team members and ensuring that they can achieve their project targets as well as their career goals. I encourage professional cameraderie, team building, and constructive social events that can provide the right balance of work and real life. I have managed local and off-shore development teams, promoting transparency among the team members and with the rest of the company.
